I guess I'm what I would call a semi professional hobbyist, since I do actually sell artwork from time to time. It's mostly a passion thing for me, or maybe more of an obsessive compulsive thing. I've drawn for as long as I can remember, and am always working away on something even if its just doodling on a napkin. I still don't really know if I want a career in illustration as such. I've done a few commissions, and have made a few halting forays into freelancing, but most of what I draw is for me, snapshots of the stories floating around in my mind that I am attempting to capture. I wouldn't mind someday finding a market for those things I do for myself. Perhaps as an author/illustrator but I'm more than a little reticent to do the thing I love as a job for other people.
